Head Coach
Office Manager
The Sudbury Canoe Club will be hiring an Office Manager for the 2020 paddling season.
Start date: May 4, 2020
End date (approx): August 21, 2020
Hours of work: 37.5 hours/week
Responsibilities Include:
Register participants and update club files
Assist with organizing Club events
Assist club members and provide orientation when needed
Ability to work with members of the Board of Directors
Assist in scheduling program lessons
Assist the Club Treasurer with payroll attendance, expense reports and issue receipts when requested
Ensure that club docks and equipment are clean and in good working order
May be required to assist with different events and programs as needed

Assistant Coach
The Sudbury Canoe Club will be hiring an Assistant Coach for the 2020 Sprint Program.
Start date: June 22, 2020
End date (approx): August 28, 2020.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours/week
Responsibilities Include:
Provide a safe, positive and fun learning environment for Paddlers on the Sprint Team
Plan, organize and coach workouts, both on-water and dryland
Assist the Head Coach to deliver a Learn to Paddle programs Para athletes and seniors
Deal with any concerns such as bullying, cross cultural issues
Address parent concerns
Will be required to attend and assist at regattas

Canoe Kids Instructors
The Sudbury Canoe Club will be hiring Canoe Kids Instructors (2) for our Canoe Kids day camp.
Start date: June 26, 2020
End date (approx): August 28, 2020
Hours of work: 37.5 hours/week
Responsibilities Include:
Provide a safe, positive and fun learning environment for campers
Supervision of campers on land and on water
Assist the Camp director to deliver a Learn to Paddle program
Deal with any concerns such as bullying, cross cultural issues
Address parent concerns

Canoe Kids Camp Director
The Sudbury Canoe Club will be hiring a Canoe Kids Camp Director for our Canoe Kids day camp.
Start date: June 26, 2020
End date (approx): August 28, 2020.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours/week
Responsibilities Include:
Create a program with detailed timelines that satisfies the requirements of CKC
Canoe Kids Program. Develop routines, schedules, and procedures for camp operation.
Assist in the selection of staff and volunteers.
Prepare and conduct pre-camp and in-service staff trainings. Assign staff activities and other responsibilities.
Act as a leader and a role model for staff, volunteers and campers.
Create an Emergency Action Plan and familiarize staff.
Be familiar with the “Safe Boating Guide” and ensure that all staff and participants abide by the rules and regulations set out by the Canadian Coast Guard at all times.
Ensure all equipment is in safe, working order and report any damages.
Request orders of necessary supplies and equipment.
Maintain ongoing communication with parents.
Maintain ongoing communication with management.
Monitor safety and all procedures as they pertain to the complete supervision of all campers and staff.
Help provide an atmosphere for developing good morale and well-being among the staff, volunteers and campers.
Prepare an evaluation and summary of current season including inventories, staff evaluations, camper reports, and recommendations for the following season.
