Fall Clean Up - Volunteers Needed

FALL CLEAN-UP AT THE SUDBURY CANOE CLUB

It’s that time of year again!

As another paddling season begins to wind down, we’re getting the Sudbury Canoe Club ready for fall and winter — and we could use a few extra hands.

We’re inviting members, athletes, families and friends to join us for our Fall Clean-Up Day at the club.

Yard and shoreline clean-up
Raking and general tidying
Organizing boats and equipment
Cleaning and preparing the clubhouse for the off-season
And whatever else needs a little end-of-season TLC!

Many hands make light work, and even an hour of your time makes a big difference.

Bring gloves, a rake or any useful outdoor clean-up tools if you have them.

Come lend a hand, enjoy a little fresh fall air, and help us take care of the club we all enjoy so much.

Thank you to our SCC community for another fantastic season on Ramsey Lake!

Witches & Warlocks Paddle

THIS FRIDAY — THE MAGIC RETURNS TO RAMSEY LAKE!

The countdown is on! Our annual Witches & Warlocks Paddle is happening this Friday, October 2, and we’re getting ready for one unforgettable evening on Ramsey Lake.

Friday, October 2, 2026

Northern Water Sports Centre (206 Ramsey Lake Rd)

Meet at 5:45 p.m.

Launch at 6:00 p.m. sharp

Grab your broomstick—or your paddle—and join the coven as witches, warlocks and mysterious creatures take over the lake for a magical fall evening on the water.

Costumes encouraged

DJ & spooky music

Photo booth

Post-paddle social

Non-alcoholic refreshments

SUPs, kayaks & canoes welcome

This year, we’re proud to paddle in partnership with Banque d’aliments Sudbury Food Bank.

Please bring a non-perishable food donation. Together, we can fill more than the lake with magic—and help fill local shelves for families in our community.

PFDs are required for every paddler.

Sudbury Canoe Club members may use club equipment, subject to availability. Community paddlers and non-members are absolutely welcome and should bring their own paddlecraft, paddle, PFD and required safety equipment.

Come for the paddle.

Stay for the music, photos and social.

Help us make a little magic both on and off the water.

Who’s joining the coven this Friday?
